The Boston Terrier breed is a highly sociable, friendly, and intelligent dog great for big families and children. In terms of their physiological characteristics, their weight is usually between 10 - 25 pounds and has a height of 15 - 17 inches at the shoulder. According to the AKC standards of Boston Terriers, the breed has three different size categories. There are those under 15 pounds (7 kilograms), 15 pounds and under 20 pounds (7-9 kilograms), and lastly, there are 20 pounds and not exceeding 25 pounds (9-11 kilograms).
